It scared the hell out of me sound like the frame broke when the spring hit the fire wall. Any of you ever had that happen to you while on the road. I had no idea what had happen. When I stop for fuel and to check the oil I had a hard time lifting the hood. I have no idea what I got to do to correct the hood. It 19 degrees here and to cold to see what I need to fix it. #@$%!
 
Kenneth, its a typical Dodge issue with the springs going bad. Ive sold about 20 pairs on Ebay for 50 to 100 a set. Ive never had to relist a pair as they sell the first time. Changing a spring isnt too bad if you have a helper. Just remove the 2 hood nuts (13mm) and then 3 bolts holding the hinge to the cab (13mm). One bolt goes in from the engine side and two go in from the fender side.
