After reading some other posts, I think I may have the dreaded a/c door problem.

For the most part the driver side vents are cold but the air flow in the vents isn't consistent sometimes blowing harder than others. If I turn the knob to different positions (floor, defrost) and back it seems to work again.

While driving in 105-110 deg temps, I had the fan on high but it wasn't cold enough. I also noticed the vents on the pax side was warm to hot. Should the air still be cold with those outside temps or is that normal on a hot day?

Can anyone give a rough estimate what the cost is to have this repaired?

Is there something else I should check? Im sure the a/c compressor is working ok, it just doesn't seem to be getting the air where it needs to go.

It sounds like your just a bit low on charge. They were marginal to low on freon from the factory so with a bit of age this symptom of being warmer on the pass. side starts showing.

when your low on freon the passenger side is hotter by design.
Its a way to know your charge is low. ( i know several times, finally found my leak, search oil on air intake side of air filter. lol)
