Although my ride has leather it appears the seats are trimmed in matching agate vinyl. On the drivers seat there is a vinyl panel that sits behind the seat position adjustment controls. When cleaning I found a small vertical tear in the vinyl that does not yet show without looking for it. Is there a product on the market that can be used to keep the tear from lengthening? I sure would hate for the tear to lengthen and start to show.

Thanks in advance!:(

Hi Bill,

There is a kit to repair leather/vinyl which i have used in the past that works. It has texture pads, asorted color paste and a metal heat tool.

Mix color to match, put on tear, place textured pad that matches what you are trying to repair, heat metal tool with lighter or what have you [not to hot, as it will damage material ] and place on texture patch for 1 min. Pull off and done!

That easy.

Bought at canadian tire. As per states? can't help you there.

Try auto store. Good luck.

Thanks Nascar Mark for the tip. If I can't find it locally I have family in Kelona, BC. They are due here Monday for a 9 day vacation stay. I'll have them pick it up for me. On another subject: I want your power train! I've got the "lift pump blues" & the stock TC stinks. Friday is fix day for the pump but I sure would like a full transmission job with Triple-Loc, VB, and shift kit. Oh well... ... ... . I'll wait til the transmission goes away. With 55K miles and only towing 6K lbs. worth of horses on the weekend it should last a long time with Amsoil and careful operation.

Thanks again for the tip.
