Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Above idle truck misses

As said truck will barely run above idle skips n misses. Idling it runs fine. Throttle will not raise any above 12-1500 rpms. I'm getting fuel metering rod code. So i was hoping someone has had this experience and hopefully it's something other than the vp44 we sure don't need that $$$ repair...

You posted this in the 24 valve engine forum but your signature says you have a 2007.

What truck are you inquiring about?

Have you checked or changed fuel filter? Is the fuel transfer pump working? Clean fuel?

Inquiring about 99 model one of my neighbors truck. We changed fuel filter n checked pressure on lift pump it all checks good.

Sounds like a VP-44 but you didn't report VP-44 codes.
