Actual bed length

OK, this kind of seems like a stupid question to me, but here goes.



I am getting ready to buy a new truck, I have the 09 brochures from dodge, I have searched the internet (especially the TDR) for as much info as I possible can, and I remain stumped on one thing.



How long are the bend lengths (exactly)?



Particularly, is the megacab short bed the same as a short bed, or is it a little bit longer? I know it's not as long as the standard 8 foot bed, but is it as short as the short bed? I am amused by the fact that the brochure gives more info on the stereo system than the bed. This is a work truck right?



I have not gone to the dealer yet, as I hate those shark tanks, but I am tempted to stop by there tonight after they close with my tape measure.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The mega cab short bed is 3" shorter than the old 2nd gen shortbed. . So 6' 3" is the length

The Megacab SB is the same length as the QC SB. 6'3". There are only two bed lenghts for all the '03-'09 trucks.
