Hi Everyone

Im putting a permanent shell on my truck that will block the third brake light... I was going to remove the OEM third brake light bulb... the shell has one of its own

will the computer read that as a bulb out?

I also was going to put some shell corner led markers in the shell. . I have read people on here having gremlins trying to get LEDs to work

any thoughts are welcome

I am still very impressed with this truck... very different from my 1971 W300 (awesome truck)and my 1976 w200... by then dodge stuff was crappy

I installed LEDS on my entry steps, no problems. See reader rigs old photos. I also just installed a new rear bumper and they removed the license plate light bulbs. No "Lamp Out" from the dash.

Tonight I connected the leds park/brake/turn lights for the rack and rails they installed today and no problems with them. I will post the new rack and rail photos Thursday.

Hope this helps.

the lamp out warning only monitors the headlights brake/turn signals not any of the aux. lighting like the cargo, LP dome etc. Adding led's will not be a problem it is only when you remove the tail light and replace it with just an LED is there an issue to to lack of load on the monitored circuit.
