Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) adrenaline feedback?

found a quadzilla adrenaline for a decent price and was thinking about buying it but i was wanting to know if anyone had any input as to the performance gains and real-world figures as to what this box will do for my truck. any input would be greatly appreciated!

check Quads site for "unautherized dealers" to avoid any issues down the road. I made 435hp on the dyno with Adrenaline A2k tune on PL07 with a slipping T/C and 100hp Jammers. I was letting off when I hit 50psi (no studs yet) I'm going to 150s soon and studding/ringing the head so I think 500hp will be no problem. There have been minor teething issues (mostly from HP junkies with BIG sticks) but Quad IS fixing them as they arise.

Love the adrenaline, smooth fuel derate if you hit safety settings, not a harsh killing of power, not a touchy throttle, good power, adjustable on the fly, I can keep up w/ some rice grinders now. :-laf Now I need a bigger turbo for more air to match my fuel, then I can blow by the rice grinders and give them a smoke show at the end.

its awesome, thats all I have to say, installed it on 2 trucks so far and the owners always have a big smile on their face when they get back.



Make sure you get a fuel pump because if you don't have fuel your gonna take out the vp44

yea i got the fass 150 pump so im hoping ill be arite on that. . is it a pretty simple install? something that i can do without much headache?

Very easy other than the VP wire tap (it SHOULD be soldered). fits best if "box" is mounted on the fuse box cover under the hood.

yeah Im very hesitant on the vp wire tap, don't feel comfortable with the way it goes on there.

How in the world do you have enough room to solder it without pulling the pump out and putting it on a bench?

Pull the air horn, throttle bracket, ect. , and its not so bad.

The wire taps from Genos work better than the tap supplied with the kit.

I love my adrenaline, all ya'll said and more. The only problem I have with it is everyday, After work( not in the mornings,) I get in my truck and the pulse will not display anything, not even a backlight. If I get out pop the hood and unplugg the pulse CM and plug it in, it works great, or if I shut the truck off and start it back it works. Every time I test the red wire coming from the box I have 5 volts, I plug it back in and it works???????? Kinda frustrating, but with all the features you get like gauges and turbo timer, I dig it. Just have to get by a little connection problem or heat or something?? I don't know, maybe I'll figure it out one these days I got time to jack with it, the good thing the box still works without the monitor, the bad thing is no gauges.

Nope have not had that problem. I love mine too just frustrated not have a fuel pressure sensor from them and have yet to source an alternative sensor

Love mine, just a pain to update Pulse, computer does not show it. I have had lots of boxes, sold Smarty. Truck is like a 747 when you nail it. Smokes less than most boxes I have had. Problem is you drive to fast!
