I have a 2008 quad cab 4x4 with the "premium" sound system and NAV. I am working on a sound system upgrade that includes all new speakers (CDT with Image dynamics sub), a new JL audio 600/4 and a clean sweep. I also added sound deadening materials to the doors and floor. What I thought might take a weekend and a couple of evenings is pushing 3 weeks. I am 99% done but I have one question that hopefully some one here has already figured out the answer
I need to tape into a "switched" line for the power of the aftermarket equipment. I want the new system to act just like the stock system so that when you turn the key off, the radio stays on until the doors are opened. Where is a good place to tape into this "switched line"?. I have a wiring diagram but can't quite figure this out.
Thanks for any answers, once I am done I will post what I have learned from the whole project and about how much beer you should stockpile if you are taking on a simular one
