My air bag instrument panel indicator goes off and then after a second comes back on and stays on. Has anyone had this problem and is there any way to reset the light. I don't want the local dealer touching my truck so any help would be greatly appreciated. I had just finished installing my fuel pressure guage. Went to start the truck to make sure everything worked and that's when the light came on.

I agree could be the clock spring. A couple weeks after I bought mine the light would come on and chime. It only happened when I was turning though. A possiblity though to think about. That is one item I don't think I woudl attempt to change myself. To many dire consequences if you muck it up!!! ;}

I absolutely agree with Bob. I would also suggest taking it to a shop to have it diagnosed as whenever that light is on all bets are off as to what the air bag will do.

It was the clock spring. The dealer had it fixed and out of the shop in just about an hour. My wallet was considerably lighter as well. I have the old clock spring if somebody needs a tree ornament for Christmas #ad
I want to take it apart to see if it's lined with precious metals. For the price of the part ($144. 18) #ad
I would expect to dig something up #ad
