2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Air Conditioning Retrofit

If I had a donor truck with air for parts would it be possible to put factory air conditioning into a truck that originally didn't have it? The code on the truck I want air in says that it originally had the air conditioner bypass. Same year truck and all. Any problems you can see me running into? I would assume that I could just hook everything up to the controls that were there and have everything work. Thanks in advance for your help.
