Pin code from dealer, don't let them give you the run around, your truck, your pin! Best to do in person with registration. My dealer parts manager was able to assist me with code. ALFA OBD software(Android or Windows based) And a Bluetooth dongle(OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth) is the recommended one that works best. This is what I have and come with a standard code reader option for any other vehicles in the household. The thing you can do with this setup is great! You can program key FOBs and save a lot of $! Enjoy that TRUCK!

Bighammer, Glad to hear that their tune changed with proper paper work. I've been able to change the low end pressure on TPMS to avoid the warning messages. I also turned my turn signals into daytime running lights. I could've chosen headlights with a lower voltage to be on all the time but LED turn signal bulbs will last longer and easier to change if needed. Gonna be programming an extra FOB to keep locked up if needed. Also changed the shut down timer at idle. You can choose 5 - 60 minutes before engine shuts down when in park. The one thing to due before diving in to deep with ALFA is to save a config file and print it out. That way if you change something, you have a way to find out what it was before you changed it. I keep a log book of the changes in case of an oops! Enjoy ALFA OBD!

I got my TPMS threshold lowered. That was the big one for me. I've tried a couple times for the global window down, but no luck so far. It's cold and I'm sure I'll have more patience to mess with it when it warms up a bit.

Anyone adjust the Oil change indicator message to extend the range? Mine seems to come on every 3k miles give or take and seeing that I run Amsoil 15w-40 sig series and filters I am going to the 15k intervals and wanted to turn that warning off or change the amount of time it takes to come on.

3k!?? You idle a lot? City traffic a lot?

I have not seen anyway to extend it. It's algorithm based on fuel dilution, so regardless of the oil ran if the fuel dilution gets close the the threshold it sets off the light. Even the best oils can't fight fuel dilution, and it's worse on stock 07.5-12's.

I don't recall you being stock thou, but if you are I'd switch to a cheaper oil with your driving habits that cause the light to come on that often.

City traffic stop and go rush hour.

Not stock. Next time the light comes on I'll have to record the mileage so that I can know exactly but thanks guys.

Before you go changing your interval you really need to have an oil sample done and verify that the algorithm is accurate. I've sampled dozens and dozens and I've found it to be very accurate from all the oil sampling that I've done. I've seen several engines that the interval was ignored because they didn't believe it and it wasn't good.

Ive done samples 3x a year for the last 4 years. I started doing 5k changes then 7500k, 10k and now trying to decide if I go up to 15k or stay at 10k? Amsoil states they back there product and since the oil I'm using is sworn to go 25k or once a year I decided 25k would be as long as I pushed it ever!!!!!

Sorry to derail this thread fellas. Just had a question on changing the interval in the computer

They do back their product, and do offer up to 25K miles or 2X the OEM interval. If your dash is going off at 3K miles then they would only back the oil use to 6K miles and not all the way to 25K as that's their recommendation.

You're not stock, so you fall into the modified engine category which states to only extend based on oil analysis.

So with your analysis you are likely good to 15K miles, assuming the UOA stated you could extend your interval. How many hours does is take you to get to 15K miles?

I run the same oil and do 12mo/15K changes, whichever comes first. I ran the AME on my modified 05 and did the same, UOA was always good. I don't do city/stop n' go thou.

How many hours that I don't know. I've got 6514 engine hours right now and 213,239 miles at this exact moment lol I'm also not 100% positive the light comes on at 3k it just feels that way.

That works out to a 32.7 mph average, or 458 hours to 15K miles. You are well within the oil rating, and should be covered with your UOA.

I need help running the Stationary Desoot procedure on my 2015. I have had issues with the DPF regen. when on a trip, (code P24A2 "DPF Regen. Incomplete), and so I would like to run the Stationary Desoot via Alpha OBD but it will not run the test. The DPF was replaced already at a dealership @44k miles and the regen. issue came back at 55k mi. I believe I have met all the prerequisites to run the procedure, such as fuel and def level, coolant temp. and no active codes. When I initiate the test using a laptop pc the software returns the message; "Requested procedure is not supported by the unit" Advice requested.

On Alfa it's under the engine heading and states that the following must be met - vehicle in park -parking brake set - vehicle at operating temp - vehicle speed zero? - more than 4 gallons -and no DTC's related to de-soot procedure. Reading this off the screen of my phone. I haven't had to use this part of the software and hope that I won't need too! Could have been a communication error between laptop and OBD. Good luck with procedure.

I think all the listed prerequisites have been met, and I have good connection using the OBDLink MX+ I have run some other tests to make sure of good connectivity. (Alternator Test and Idle Speed) These tests run ok.

When I used my MX+ the other day to check some lights, I got a notification that there was an update for it. Might want to check that and Alfa for updates. Software can be a pain in the you know what. I'll see if I can get one to happen tomorrow with mine on my phone. Not sure what else other than to try again. My remote start didn't want to work this morning. Has nothing to do with Alfa, but who knows what caused it. After I had started it with FOB, when I needed to restart, remote start worked! Technology!!! Love - Hate relationship!

Just an update, was able to preform stationary de-soot with my Alfa on phone and using a Bluetooth MX+. Not sure what msparker was having an issue unless its a software update somewhere. On another note, I also have Global windows down enabled. When unlocking, you double press and hold, both front windows will go down! Nice to be able to vent truck on hot day without having to go out to truck. Now I have to enable Global up to not have to go out and put them back up! LOVE Alfa!!!

I've heard Global up doesn't work on these trucks.

I haven't had any issues with a stationary de-soot on my truck, but @msparker has a G56 C&C which is going to be different than our automatic pickups.
