The stops are there supposedly to take the stress off the door pivot pin but the pivots were so weak they break anyway. Don't need the stops with the heater treater doors. Don't know about the others.

I ran my truck that way for about a year and a half. The recirc. door is the easiest to do. If you have the Infinity stereo, you will now regret that purchase, as the amplifier is blocking access to one of the screws on the door motor. If you don't, its an easy swap. Contrary to HT's instructions, their new door can be installed through the blower access, you don't have to cut the intake grille as they suggest.

Good to know... . I'll be experiencing this soon... . So the Infinity amp restricts the access to a screw??? What do you need to remove the screw? Right angle screw driver, flex shaft, pry bar or a large hammer???#@$%!

Update: Had freon checked, it was fine. it had been working fine untill last night. AC lines were froze up. I wonder if the ac drain hose was not letting water come out, sine I find a huge puttle under the truck, I got a hose from car quest and added it to the stub and run it down to the frame and zip tied it at both ends. blew out radiator, flushed with water hose and blew dry. Got a lot of bugs out. I will try it again to see if this helps any.
