Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Anyone paint their engine vanity cover?

Curious if anyone has done this and how it turned out and how you went about it? Im talking about the cover that covers all 6 rocker box covers, Im pondering doing mine but just need to see a few 1st as im afraid it will come out looking bad

Mines in the shed. Took it of when I put the Chrome kit on. No need to cover up the BLING. CT have fun with it though. It has been done by a few.

i do nt have a pic but my cousin did it to his and it came out real nice. i think he painted it black and then did the letters in red by hand. he has read valve covers on his truck and so it has some contrast. looks real nice. in my opinion if you do someting with it and it all goes together you cant go wrong it should look good.

Scotch Brite pad on the air grinder makes quick work of the paint.



I was painting the letters on the oil fill cap, it was probably on the work bench drying, lol! Ya know how after thoughts go...

I shot dupli color on the truck im working on now. I sprayed it on the cover the intake horn and the inner fenders. It actually turned out pretty decent.
