anyone use falken tires before????

Im due to get tires on my truck 285/70/17 and they are bfgs... . a guy at discount tire told me falken makes a tire similar to the bfgs... anyone ever use this brand before... at least they are made in japan... thanksOo.

I buy and use ONLY Michelins. In my experience with lots of sets of Michelins, they are actually cheaper to use than tires that cost less to purchase because Michelins will deliver many more miles of service.

If my budget would not allow Michelins, I would use BF Goodrich Commercial/TA.

A cheaper tire is cheaper for a reason.

I love the falken tires on my trailers--no problems at all. Will never use Goodyear again. . All flat and blowout problems went away the day I had them put on.

they seem to be getting good reviews... so i might give them a try..... anymore input out there... ... the ones Im looking at are the wildpeaks..... 285/70/17

I think im just going to go with the BFgs... . there are too good of a tire, and never gave me any problems... . so I will pay more, but stay loyal to what i know... . thanks for all the input

When a tire salesman tells you some (bs) like the Falken tire is made just like a BF Goodrich he means both are black, round, and made of rubber. What he did not tell you is the boss has put a spiff (bonus to the salesman) on the Falkens to get rid of them so his commission for selling a set of Falkens will be far more than he would receive for selling a set of BFGs.

Tires are a product where there is no substitute for quality.

Harvey, how many miles have you driven on BFGs? And how many miles have you driven on Falkens? Inquiring minds want to know.



I would assume you've driven substantial miles on both and can give us a report on how long each tire lasts on average, ride quality, traction in wet and dry and off road in mud, sand etc.
