Two days ago my truck's transmission would not would shift from 3rd to 4th gear. Yesterday it worked fine. I pulled the DTC?s and got two:
0123 - APPS input voltage is above acceptable limit, and
1693 - DTC detected in ECM abd PCM.

For background, I installed the APPS noise isolator from Geno"s and new Suncoast Valve Body about 3-4 years ago.

Before I buy the $170 replacement APPS, I would appreciate any suggestions. And, is it a plug-n-play install?

Thanks very much and have a prosperous and Happy New Year.

The apps install is straight forward. I was a little leery about it but followed the instructions and all went fine. As always i'd double check your connections for cleanliness and good contacts before buying the apps.

Did you try to reset the APPS? Also, just to make sure I would throw a voltmeter on the altenator lead and check for any AC voltage. Once the diodes go bad in the altenator they put out dirty voltage and can cause the trans to hunt for gears among other things. The noise filter you mentioned is supposed to be the band aid fix for this but sometimes they don't work.
