What is the bolt on the drivers side of the automatic transmission that is above the shift linkage? It has a torx head and is held in place by a 19mm lock nut. Any ideas? TIA Phil

I pulled it all the way out!! I tried to set it back where it was. And after 4 or 5 drives I think I have it close to where it was. How do you tell if it is adjusted right? Am I OK to drive it for a couple days until I can get it in to be adjusted? Phil

?????????

You have to tighten the bolt to 72 INCH pounds then back off 3 5/8 turns and lock the lock nut. If the bolt doesn't tighten up then the strut has fallen out of the other side of the band and you will have to pull the trans. pan to replace it. bgl

47RE

The above adjustment is incorrect for 47RE, it should be back off 3 turns. Tried to edit but unable to do so. Sorry, bg
