Hey guys-

Wanted to check around here first. My dads backup lights on his 96 2500 auto are not coming on in reverse. Checked bulbs, replaced one, checked fuse, it was fine. Still no lights... Any ideas on what it might be? Is there a switch?

EB,

I would check the backup light switch on the transmission. Replaced mine but I have a stick. Donno where it is located on the autos, but just disconnect(when u find it) it and see if you have power coming in but not out when transmission is in reverse. Or you could just jumper it and see if it is the switch and check the wiring at the same time.

Oh, see if you can get an after market one, waaaay cheaper than dealer.
