my personal vote would be for the biggest and heaviest battery one could put in there. In my 3rd gen, I run interstate high end batteries, mainly because I get a deal on them...in my first gen stuff I run group 31 batteries, have a couple with 10 years on them, and they are napa commercial batteries.
my thought on the heaviest is that there is more plate material there, and should take longer to go bad, as shedding the material is what causes them to go weak. Also make sure that you do maintenance to the connections with die-electric grease...

Oem is AGM, your alternator charges with a high current of 14.5V up to 15.2V
I don't know how long an open cell lead acid will last in this setup.

So my 2017 3500 was not agm but that is what I went to. More shock resistant. Mine went out at year three

Never did get an answer, but was told AGM CANNOT be jump started , and only trickle charged. I have an AGM boat battery, and I charge it at 6 amps, but with a charger with a AGM mode. Must be working okay, bought it from Cabelas in June 2012, still going, although I only run the electric trolling motor on pretty slow speed for 4-5 hours .

Being told about jump starting those AGM's held me up on trying some with my truck.

My fault, i mix always sealed lead acid with AGM.
OEM is sealed, so no water escapes from them at the high charge voltage from the Ram.

I used to have AGM spiral cells in my old camper setup, but I've never heard before that they can only be slow charged. I charged mine always with full power accordingly to the manufacturers specs.
