Competition some muncie sled pull video's

Competition Pics of my truck...

From what I saw last night you will be eventually. Clint had the ATS duramax out. He was running 13. 6's. All it had was injectors and propane. NO boxes or NOS. :--) I hope the common rail cummins is this easy to bomb.

From a little fly on the wall... ... ... ooohhhh yyeeeaa!!!!!

Stock off the showroom floor..... 278 hp, 510 lbsft torque

EXTREMELY mild desert magic... ... 444 hp, 840 lbsft of torque, Small injectors and Prototype unnamed box... ..... Nothing else !!!!!!!!

This is second hand info, unconfirmed by me, but from a reputable source... ...

Those 2003 are looking sweeter every day... .....

Add in edit: Thanks to ChrisNM5WC (I think this is his handle) it is posted on Diesel Dynamics Web site.

For the cost of those injectors...

I'd be willing to venture that for the cost of the injectors alone on the DMax you could nicely BOMB a '03, let a lone an '02, and be faster than that. I don't know how quick 484hp would get you but with a DTT or BD or ATS transmission it oughta be close to those numbers.

Stakeman... .

I'll not say the Duramax will not ever beat a Dodge on a dragstrip because any true racer knows when its his day to be beaten he will be(Force & WJ today in Memphis are 2 very good examples of this) and not matter what numbers the ATS Duramax has run it will not scare off a racer.

See,E. T. to me is a relative number only and can be made by may ways,BUT,there are two very different and distinct ways to do it. One way is to have all the power your wallet can muster in the motor/driveline and hope that you can have enough chassis to make it run the incrementals to deliever the E. T. s you seek. OR,to have a relatively moderate motor and chassis combo that flat hooks or will hook on banana peels(slick tracks) and make it run the same incrementals and E. T. s by using a progressive power application that will be not able to produce wheelspin but will produce the numbers down track.

That 13. 6,while it is a nice deal for a relatively "bone stock or not many mods"Duramax, did it happen because of the power it made,or did it happen because it made the best numbers progressively down the ENTIRE 1/4 mile stretch. Without seeing the incrementals for this trip or his others he made that night and me only knowing what we have already seen in Duramax's and what i know from my racing,I'd have to say it was moderate power and good hook nite with the Duramax able to run the number by its inability to overpower the track.

So are we suposed to fear this almighty 13. 6 machine, nope. Respect the owners for the numbers they have made with it ,yes. Be interesting to see what the ATS group can muster out of the Duramax... ... . Andy

I can tell you. . Here in Ft Worth there are a couple of DMs that WILL hand MOST dodges their a$$ on a platter.

Watch out, they are quick!!

Just a clarification, yes the boxes were out to test the new injectors and the D-max is a beast. I was shocked the first time I drove the ATS D-max, I am not afraid of the Chevy's but I was a little concerned when I got pulled over in it for lighting the tires up for three gears!:--) This is by far the fastest truck I've ever driven off the line. Well the fastest diesel anyway. :)

I have driven a DMAX that had a 4" exhaust and the edge Juice box in it. It was a 4x4 Crew Cab Dually. I ran a 15. 38 launching in 4wd. Thats the only time it seemed fast was for the first 30ft. The rest of the run the slushbox alison just chewed up any power it was making. It did however pull the left front tire for a sec on that launch :D. Cool trucks indeed, but scratch the allison option for me

LOL Cooker,

I had a 1999 2wd 2500 QC SB that ran a 16. 20@85mph, that Dmax ran the same MPH. I have driven a few fast diesels. Hiperf360 knows who to toss the Keys to when his ETs are down :D lol.

how is ats getting around the allison programming ? from what i had heard ,( maybe things have changed ??), after awhile the transmission is told to eat any power increase by the computer , so your back to stock ????

i drove a dmax a couple weeks ago , was thinking of getting a new truck , my truck is faster with just DD3's and mine rode better with the crappy ebrock shocks...

The secret around the transmission is our Level II Allison fix. The transmission slips at very low power up-grade causing the computer to de-fuel. Correcting the slipping torque converter and transmission allows the transmission to transfer full power and eliminates or reduces the Power reduction. There is more information on the website http://www.atsdiesel.com/products/products-gm.html we are going to dyno tonight.

The top speed was 98mph at the end of the quarter.
