You don't "disable injectors individually" on a 12V Harvey. The man stated that the coolant level was low. He also stated that he trusts the mechanic he's using. If he or his father brought it to me and told me what they've told him, I would have pulled the injectors for testing, run a compression check, and then pulled the head. This tech may have done those things, we don't know. If they are still concerned about the knock and wanted me to go further, I would inspect the bottom end.
I can't stand people that jump to the conclusion that EVERYBODY is out to rip them off.
Now, T, where is the "tick" coming from? Which side? Top or bottom?
