Boost control and EZ

I had a 2001 where you disabled the boost with a 22 shell or a turnbuckle. Bought a 2006 QC,4X4,auto,and the EZ is on the way. I know the EZ will fool the computer, but how do you fool the wastegate? I have searched and read about an elbow. Does the EZ electronically allow more boost via the electronically controlled wastegate or do you have to use an elbow? Just where does this elbow go?

I think the boost elbow first went away with the 04. 5 model. Since everything is electronic with the 04. 5+, the boost control is also electronic.
