Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost elbow

I had the Edge EZ on my truck and upgraded to the Comp. My production date is 10-00. I sold my EZ to a buddy with a 6-01 ram 2500 CTD. On mine, the old elbow spun out easily, in with new elbow with orifice and on with the hose we're done. I went to instal the boost elbow on his truck and was surprised to find a metal non-removable boost tube going to the wastegate actuator. Where mine has a threaded hole for the elbow, his is all casting and the metal tube is more towards the bottom of the turbo. What should I do now. Remove turbo,drill and tap for 1/8 pipe and instal elbow? There is a dimension difference between the barbed elbow and the little metal tube at the actuator. Any suggestions? Thanks

Yours is stick. Is his? I believe the turbos were slightly different between stick/auto. I remember when ordering my stuff, I had to specify for the TST Box and it came with an elbow for the stick.

Mine is a 6 spd, his is the auto.
