By enlarging the hole in the banjo bolts on the inlet side of the f/filter what will this get you? Will it yield more HP? If so what size do you drill it out to?

I drilled some out,to 3/16" Im almost positive,it gives you less restriction to fuel flow, which gives you more pressure at the fuel pump. Just dont overtighten them, after drilling them looks like it weakens them.

I bored mine out quite large. Both fittings on top of the filter and the banjo in the pump as well. No difference whatsoever.

No measurable increase at the pump either.

If you want more pressure do it with a tighter overflow valve.

I installed an auxillary electric fuel pump to increase pressure/flow. It is a parallel setup to the factory fuel system with it's own tank pickup and filter housing. It enters right at the pump banjo bolt. I can maintain 40+ psi under WOT at ANY rpm. Without the pump my fuel pressure drops to 3 psi under full throttle after several seconds.

It didn't help power what so ever. It cost me about $400 for this little experiment, so I'd like to say it helped something, but I honestly can't.

I wouldn't worry to much about increasing the power on a 12 valve with higher fuel pressures unless your factory system is weak or damaged.

Sickly has the stock, original, unmodified banjo bolts (except for cleaning the paint off of them). Also still has the original 5/16" OD line from the stock filter to the pump. Maybe some day I'll have to start b. o. m. b. ing :D

I was just thinking about my lift pump today while I was idling next to an ISB in a UPS truck... ...

You guys answered my question before I even asked it..... I was just thinking of doing the research on the electric conversion that is becoming so popular on the ISB side of the world.

Ahh... nothing like pure 12-valve, P7100 bliss.
