In a couple weeks, I'm going on a long trip pulling the 7K TT. Should I have the TTPM box on level 2 or level 3 or does it matter? Looking for best fuel efficiency. From what I understand, the difference is that on level 2, extra fuel isn't added until the boost hits 12 psi, thus less smoke at low RPMs. Thanks.

A little off topic

Congrats on your Flames going to the Stanley Cup Finals... . we really were hoping to root on our beloved Sharks but it just wasn't to be. Daryl Sutter is one classey guy, I hope you guys go all the way!!!

I don't see any reference to guages in your sig, but EGT will be your fastest limitation when towing up grades. Other than that, where power is concerned, let your conscience and pocketbook be your guide! ;)

With my Comp, I can run full throttle up the steepest Sierra grade yet traveled with the Comp on 5x5, EGT stays at 1200, but usually rarely NEED full throttle, we can easily cruise a 7% grade at 65 with the 6-speed in OD...

Thanks Buff, I'm not a real big hockey fan, but it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement. All you see on the road are car flags and don't even think about going downtown after a game. Are we allowed to post URLs? Whatever, to see some of the revellers, check out www dot flamesgirls dot com. (yes, it contains nudity so don't go there if ya don't wanna see it. ;) ) Anyway, to get back on subject, I have EGT and boost. I think I'll try each setting for a day and see what happens. Since putting on the 4" flow-thru muffler, it does run cooler.

rfcom, I also have the DD TTPM (edge) on my truck, put it on passing through Las Vegas first of the month. Pulled a 31' 5th wheel northbound to Washington state. TTPM on level 3 and had no problems with EGT's, nothing over 1150, pyro pre turbo. I did run with the overdrive off most of the time.

If you don't lug the truck i. e. drive it like it should be driven you'll prolly be just fine. I never get near the danger zone as long as I'm not lugging the truck.
