I need to acquire one of these for my new ride.

Have used the drawtite in the past but would love to hear some feedback on

the types you all have used and what brands and how well they work

Thanks

You might check the towing and hauling forum, but the Prodigy is extremely easy to install and setup and it works much smoother that the Drawtite.

Now that Jordan is, at least temporarily off the marketand considerring BrakeSmart's high price, the Prodigy is a good choice. It's easy to install and is reliable.

I've got 20K miles pulling with my Prodigy. It works extremely well and the connection is plug and play - no splicing, soldering or anything.

Had Prodigy on my 04 and on my 06. Pulling 16,000 and no problems. Extremly easy to install and to use.

Why is Jordan off the Market ?

Jordan

Hi,

Jordan has decided to retire and has sold his brake controller business to Camco. They are in the process, with Jordans help, of producing a newer version of the Ultima 2020 brake controller. It is my understanding that it will still carry the Jordan name. My last contact with Camco is that they hope to have the newer Jordan controller in the spring.

We will miss Jordan, he was a great guy to deal with. We've had our Ultima 2020 on our 96 Dodge for over 5 years and just love it. Diana

The balance of that post-

"Jordan has sold his patents and all materials CAMCO. At present, they are still producing the cheaper controller called the "Actuator". It is a time based unit and somewhat cheaper in price than the Ultima 2020. The Ultima is presently out of production.

Jordan showed me his new Ultima he is working on right now for CAMCO. It should be ready for shipment sometime in the spring. It is really cool. It is much easier to install and is self adjusting on the control wire. The main console can now be placed anywhere you wish - - it no longer has the wire attached to it, rather it is electrically connected to a sensor mounted on the brake arm. It could be placed in the cubby in the dash if you wish. It further is operating at 318 cycles, so it will function beautifully in the hydraulic trailer brake setup. I should be testing a prototype in January or February and I will keep you posted on what I think of it. I sure like what I see so far. The new one should cost just a little more than the old Ultima - - final figures will be available once it is completed. Jordan was anticipating something like an additional $20 from the old Ultima. "

Too bad the Ultima is so hard to find, it's a great controller.
