How about the person behind the parts counter looking at the correct page in the parts book?

You gotta' wonder if performance like that is one or more of the following....

(1) Lack of training

(2) Lack of interest

(3) Commision and/or Parts Dept Bonus Plan

(4) Wouldn't know the difference between a Ram and a VW Beetle

(5) Has never even opened the driver's door on a Ram pick-up....

I do know that counterman would not last long in the Truck Parts business......

sticking someone behind the counter that knows how to use a computer but doesn't know diddly squat about motor vehicles. I remember the days (and wish they were back) when we had PAPER (binder bound) parts books. I still prefer 'em if I can get my hands on 'em. way easier to root through and find the hard to find part.computer screens/pages make it all but impossible to find hard to find parts...might be a couple pages away (as in this case) but you'd never know it unless you know how (most) parts books are put together (organizationally wise). (Then there's Ford...:)) I still have a eon of the old school GM and Chrysler books from the 70's (and some 60's that I found). Everyone thought I was nuts for "hoarding" trash back then! :) WRONG!
