I took a warmed over '96 Trans-Am (I'm fuzzy on the exact year) from 20MPH, to 100MPH)
We were dead even at 20MPH, and he downshifted, I was WOT, then Locked the TCC, and when I hit 2nd gear, we were staying about even, and when I hit 3rd, and I started walking away from him. I backed out of it when I was supposed to do my 3-4 shift at ~100-120, and let him keep goin'. He wanted more, but I was saving it for the track. He ran 13. 20's that night, all motor.
Smokey Burnouts? Yah, I do those,, it's hard to get them rolling on a roll, just because I usually don't stay in it long enough,, but if I build 10PSI before letting go of the brakes, the tires will light up, and I hold it back in 2nd with the TCC locked at 3,800RPM and ~60-65MPH, and it doesn't hook up untill ~50MPH. Makes for some lengthy burnouts...
(BTW, that's on my 36x14. 5 Mickey Thompson's and 3. 55 gears)
