So you should tell your fab shop to sell that mount to the rest of it. It's a real clean and nice set up you have there, I'm going to have to copy you ASAP. Did you have to drill the holes that the mount is attached to?

Yeah, at first I didn't realize that the bracket on top of the filter came from Amsoil until I researched the product a little more so it seems far more impressive than it was.

When you made the hoses up can you take the fittings off and change the hose length without problems or are the fittings good for one tightening? I like your mount location better then mine but I would need at least one new hose madeup. If I need all new fittings might not be worth it. I made mine back in 06 and can't remember the directions.

I don't know if the end fittings are reusable, I'll check with the guys on Monday.

Yes they drilled the holes for the bracket.

Here is a side view of my mount. I butted the end up against the firewall for added stability. I'll keep a close eye on the area around the mount and ensure it is not over stressing it. The filter use to be mounted over the exhaust. I like this location better. I can also use the larger filters, where I was limited to the 90 before.

RATon, Klauber...

Do y'all still use the Stratapore in the stock location or are you using an Amsoil there as well?

Thanks in advance.

I use the EAO80 at the stock position since Amsoil recommends the oil and filter to get the long change interval. The best way is to analyze your oil every 10 or 12K miles. Way cheaper than an oil change too.

"Ea Oil Filters feature synthetic nanofiber technology for maximum efficiency. Guaranteed for up to 15,000 miles or up to 25,000 miles, depending on application, when used with AMSOIL synthetic motor oil. "

I noticed RATon said he uses a larger filter in place of the 90 on the by-pass unit. Which larger filter is recommended?

I'm using the Fleetguard filters from Geno's, buy 4-5 at a time (save on shipping) and Geno's is cheaper then my Cummins dealer. I'm away from home alot now so don't have time to do the oil analyzing. I change my oil and filter every 7500 miles and my bypass filter every 30,000 miles.
