hi, my 01 3500 single cab flat deck has got some very bad looking cab mounts from underneath the truck looks like they are about to colapse,is there a fix for this can you buy weld in replacements thanks?

I replaced my front cab mounts last year. Wasn't to bad. I think i got mine from Keystone auto body parts. I think that LMC truck parts has them.

thanks, did you have to weld the mounts onto the cab ? or are you talking about the rubber pucks? on mine the accual metal that is the mount is rusted ,can i buy those?

My metal was all rotted out as well. You can buy the metal parts and weld them on. Just make sure you check your floor as well. Mine had a few spots behind the mount that needed fixing.

thanks its good to know i can buy them, i`ll have to get some of those , i bet they`ll be hard to get here in Atlantic Canada though.

Gregg, check with Colonial Garage. I believe i had some rear cab corner repair panels from them a few years ago for my 01. Not really sure about the replac ement mounts, but its worth a shot.

I've been looking for them too, they are not available.

Right now I've got my truck in the body shop and they're looking at either getting some used ones cut out of a rust free donor truck or fabricating them in the shop.

There is a guy in CT that makes them but he hasn't made them for the 2nd Gen Rams yet. He says he knows there a demand for them but hasn't gotten around to making a pattern. The company is ABS at 888-277-1960. Maybe he'll start making them soon.

Follow up on the body mount repair:

The shop ended up finding used body mounts that were in good shape and installed them. They did a great job.
Cost was $850.

Both the shop and I searched for new replacement mounts, they simply don't exist. You can find them listed on the web but no place I contacted had them.

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions.
