2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cal. Low NOx Software Upgrade?

What is up with this re-flash? Has anyone seen any problems show up because of it? Any change in fuel economy? I get great fuel milage and would not like this to change. Any comments; Good! Bad! Let me hear them.

They can't reflash a computer if there is no computer such as your 97.

That's what I thought! The letter is from the Air Resources Board and covers all 1993-1998 CTD's. It requires "Upgrade of Low NOx Software" starting in April '05 for '93-'94 to 12/05 for '97-'98. Anyone know what is going on?
