Can I Safely Run Wheel Spacers??

I bought some new rims cause the Mazzi Maximus' cracked. My new wheels, MKW 29 series, don't have the wide stance I like for safety and looks.



What brand bolt on wheel spacer should I use and are they safe? I was thinking about 1 to 1. 5 inches at least to get me back to the width of the Mazzi's.

Come on, anyone?! Guess I just had a revelation that should have occured 24 hours ago. My '03 dually, and all duallies I presume, had like 2 inch factory steel wheel spacers on the front to compensate for the dished wheels on a dually. So I'm going to run some heat treated aluminum units, and just make sure the lugs are always torqued.

There are a lot of opinions on this. Most will tell you no. I would not run big spacers if I was towing heavy.
