Hello guys... I've been lurking around this forum for almost a year, off/on. I finally subscribed today and this is my first post.
I've been reading this CaTCHER thread for a week or so, and actually ordered one on Mon. from Bob. A few replies up, "Git-R-Done" attached a dyno chart. I'm very interested in the stock vs. CaTCHER data because this will be my first mod. I'm a newbie, but does the chart look strange to anybody? The ECM HP line falls off very steep after 2000 rpm, yet the TQ line is still flat all the way to ~2800 rpm. Peak torque actually occurs at ~2500 rpm, yet it's way after the HP has fell off. I mean, according to this, there's no need to rev the truck past 2000 rpm when shifting. Now I normally shift at 2000 rpm, but when I want to really get moving, I'll run it to ~2800 and shift, which feels about right. Can anybody shed some light on the graph?
I've got gauges and a Scotty II coming on Fri. , so I'm excited about getting the mods underway.
