Attention: TDR Forum Junkies around 9mo's ago my 99 started doing odd things. like surge boost psi fall fast, egts jumping( normal 800 @70 to 500 @flat to spiking) talked to a few mec's allways the same $$$$ bring it in we will fix, we know what it is.
well? what is it? well it's... ... . just bring it in... well I'm not going to throw $$ at something I can fix kept putting scan tools on it nothing no codes no bells no whisles. noticed that when I would start it to move it in the driveway 50' at the most and kill it 45mins to an hour it would be dead! so to auto parts store... hay test my batt. all good this went on for a month @ work have to be jumped off but load test showed good. cleaned cables and post so confused by this ... ok stop at auto zone . look something is wrong with batt's! put 3 load test on each batt ok driver side failed second time past 3rd ok I'm tired of this just replace batts. truck runs better. . for a day big cloud of smoke no peddel! um... . don't tell me injector pump. nope banks goes out send banks in. Ooo! it's Dead!! send you a new one... no charge!
ok that was my prob! I'm good to go waiting on replacement... ..... 7 days later, hay where's the replacement well lets check on that o says it was delevered 4 days ago. who signed for it? well let me check on that... ... ... . O no one did it was just droped off what address? this one... I don't live at that address... O we are so sorry we will send you a new one... 2 days later get it

kinda loose wont tighten ! replace ends OMG there are wires all over clamps small clamps large I made the misstake of going to O'riles where the mrg don't like me and she is there I need sum batt cable ends to fit 2/0 cables need 4 Ooo we don't have pairs we have this 10 pak I don't need 10 this is what we got take it or leave it #@$%! next day I got my 10 pak of batt cable ends and now replacing kinda a pain but ok got it truck running good for about 20 miles back to surging ect..... Ok trying to cool down doesn't help wife telling me Trade that old truck in Honey it's got over 400k on it I wont get crap for it... . next day it rains on the way to work truck runs great at lunch well not so great..... ok it's got to be electrical! a plug some where then start to notice when it rains runs great when going down one of Texas fine highways ... . bump runs great..... bump well crap... . bump great... . and so on ok better ask sum pro's call Texas diesel power. . it's got to be electrical? right?. . stop thinking like that I'm 99% shure it's your pump. bring it in and I will check it out 4 free but I do the work ummm... . let me get back to you call Mac's preformance diesel ... . bring it in call a buddy... sounds like your TPS going out... call dodge house for pricing. . :--) do they supply ky with that. ok lets try sum things not really a way to test it ok take banks off still there just not as bad... talk to banks they send me a hole new wirring kit... no fix ok get cleaner spray plugs still nothing. ok break down drv to mac's hook scan tool up humm no codes... could have told you that well pup your hood ... . humm you got a few mods ... . ok first you need new batt cables wouldn't put these replacement ends on unless a guy was broke down and that was the last resort... ok hell tryed everthing else why not ... . call auto parts,( napa, auto zone, and O'riles) dealer only... . stopping off at dollor store get cheep KY befor calling Dodge... call ... parts please ... give last 8 of vin. O $$$ for 1 and $$ for another and another ok how much for all $586 befor tax ok should have got a tub of lard... ok going to try to sauter on new ends batts got top and side post mts worth a shot $43 vs 586 try the 43... next day 3hr's later after cleaning cables and putting on new ends put it together well now I'm 3 weeks with out a problem... . come to find out 2nd gens don't like voltage changes makes the ecm go nuts and the TPS and pump. . and banks... knocking on wood... and fingers are crossed
