I have seen a few of those, there was a company that used them for delivering boat trailers in the early 90's. I used to stop and talk to the guys at the truck stop when they were coming through. They might have ten or twelve trailers stacked up behind them. I never did know who stretched the trucks and they were no pulling much of a load weight-wise. I'll bet they grabbed some air though. Glen

Do you remember who the delivery company was or what state or town they were based out of? Or even the brand of boat trailers that they carried???

I spoke to the owner of the truck. He sais that he wanted 14000. 00 K for it...

I don't think he is going to be selling it..... I am worried that the chop job done to it might not be all that well done... .

Sorry, Mysteryman, I sure do not. I always thought it was kind of cool the way they stacked all those trailers up and used a temporary hitch on the back of the bottom trailer to tow another stack. The temporary hitch appeared to have been designed to bolt on in place of the big lower boat roller at the back of the frame.

Even though I was a long ways from owning a Cummins then, I was still a fan. They were a little leery about talking to the Po Po at first. Glen

What's the current bid? $510. 00? Seems like it ought to go for more than that.

heres a quote from the auction:

Q: I'm from Ontario Canada and am interested in your truck. Was wondering what your approx. reserve price is as I may need to arrange some financing. Thanks

Feb-06-06

A: It's above $10,000, but less than $15,000. This is a custom truck, and it would take between 5 to 10,000, to build it, the way it is. Hope this helps. lbdodger92

I have an x-relative (divorce) who had one of these. I never knew who made. A lot of the cab stretch/extension on his was out of fiberglass and then bonded into the metal work. I'm sure that when it was new, it looked good but now it just looks like crud. Cracks and pulling away from the metal. Inside was nice and comfortable and he pulled a lot of weight with it.

Back in '93 and '94 when I toured the country introducing the 2 nd gen trucks, we came across a cowboy from Texas, Cleburne I think, that used to make these. He was itching really, really bad to get ahold of some new 2 nd gens to convert over. If I look hard enough, I think I have pics of the first 2 '94's he did up. Surely some of you ol' timers here must remember back then !! :-laf

Grizz, it is at 2550 now and in the auction he says his reserve is someplace between 10K and 15K, with a day to go, I doubt it is going to get close to the reserve. An extended 2nd Gen cab 12V longbed with a sleeper in front of the 5th wheel or goose would be a much better investment in my opinion.
