One of the best upgrades I've done are a silicone boost hose kit. If you're going to keep the truck I encourage you to replace the stock hoses with something good (Mr. Bob's were my choice) and when you pull all the stock hoses out and compare them to upgraded one's you'll have peace of mind that they will last and stay in place (if installed properly). Then you're done with that problem regardless of future BOMB's.

I have to agree with the hose upgrade. The first one out of the turbo kept popping off of mine. Once that happens there's no power and lots of smoke. The first time it happened I was running up Jelico on I-75. I thought My turbo had locked up. Luckily it was just the hose. I got mine really cheap from someone here on TDR, I'll have to look back to see where. It's been several years.

Just got mine from Geno's. I'm tearing the truck down for the IP r&r, and yep, slice and worn boots. The silicone looks like it'll hold up much better, but you also definitely want to get the spring clamps too... ... ...

A driver of mine (school bus) was pulling a long steady hill outside of town when she hears this explosion. She stopped, called it in as a rear tire blown. Called the tire dealer service waggon to R&R the tire. When I arrived with a spare bus, the tire guy is standing 'round scratching his head, looking alot like

So I look under the hood to find a blown boost hose.

When I later asked the driver which tire blew, she replied it was the right rear inner dual.
