Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Anyone have over 1 million miles?

I'm trying to decide if I should shell out the money for DDP's fuel plate kit and the DDP4 injectors. I'm happy with my setup right now but I could use more fuel mileage. I like the fact that DDP knotched the holes in the fuel plate so you can choose from 25-140HP.

Has anyone had any experiences with either one of these? How strong are they... what is the average fuel mileage... what kind of power is in sight? I'm going to put on an ATS exhaust manifold and I'm fabricating my own intake horn in my machining class, also a turbo is on the list.

I'd like to bump my timing up as well. How far should I go with it? 16*? I'd like to know what is working for everyone else.

Thanks in advance,

Bryce

From what I read about the different DDP injector sets, I do not think the

DDP 4 injectors will give you a mileage increase.

When I emailed DDP they gave me information that they'd get slightly better mileage and a lot better than the 370s due to the fact that they 370s are a different spray pattern. This is what I was told.

I haven't checked my mileage since I put in the DDP 4's, but I can tell my mileage certainly didn't go down, vs the 370's. I do have a lot less smoke at idle and under normal driving with them.

Rams-n-Hogs, did they give you a noticeable bump in power or is it about the same across the power range?

Bryce

Bryce, you are only gonna gain mileage with a different plate if you are actually using the power now. The plate typically only comes into effect at WOT (granted, thats assuming that the plate isnt limiting the rack travel down at like 1/8th throttle).

However, by changing the plate from your 0 to the DDP, you will only gain mileage if you are running it at or near wot often.

Id say the injectors are probaby not worth the $$ if the mileage increase is the biggest concern.

Im running injectors similar to ddp 4's, and I lost between . 5 and 1mpg over the stock 215's.

Alright thanks Jeff. The money was a major part of it also. I'm looking to get my truck painted a WRX blue and it might be a little costy, also turbo and many other mods on the list. I think I'll look further into the plate. Thanks for all the help guys.
