I understand where you are coming from with your statement and understand where you are going with it. However, let me say that I am not a quitter. My dealership's ace transmission expert said there was nothing wrong with the clunking from changing gears, it was my fault for the way I was shifting. So I let them close that claim out because I am not that familure with the trann's on these newer trucks. So I didn't move away from Dodge, just that one particular problem. But I will surely do a lot more research on that clunking noise until I find out one way or the other I was indeed improperly shifting. However, if I can prove that mech wrong, I will. And when he told me; "Bill, I really don't know everything I should about the auto transmission's on these trucks, that gave me a little hope that there may be something else he's over looking.
Just my .02 but I don't feel I am adding another level of frustration to an already bad situation. The frustration in the midst of this ongoing problem lays squarely on the "customers shoulders." For the record, nobody on this forum started this dead pedal problem. I believe all involved have followed the correct procedure's as outlined by Chrysler when one has a problem. Therefore, shouldn't Chrysler keep customers in the loop, reassure them that everything is being done to assist them, etc. Shouldn't the service writers, the service dept mgr and other service department personnel be a little more positive when addressing customers about this and any other problem?
When I have a problem with my vehicles and am told by many within the dealership, i.e. the service mgr, that they have never heard of this problem, just like this dead pedal problem, then I take it upon myself to do all the research I can, to first educate myself, and second, attempt to supply the ser. mgr. with any information I obtain. This forum has been a great wealth of information for me so I have attempted to pass any and all information from this forum, onto the ser. mgr. It's apparent that my ser. mgr. hasn't came to this forum, hasn't read any posts and hasn't read anything about the dead pedal problem. So going back to your post ~ yes, I am persistent, I'm not a "giant" tool, but like to view myself as some type of informative tool. So if that adds another level of frustration to an already bad situation then so be it.
I agree with you ~ yes, this is a bad situation and at the moment, it's getting worse because Chrysler refuses to let my ser. Dept. to do "any" work on my truck. I can't speak directly to any rep at chrysler and am very tired of hearing the ser. mgr telling me that his hands are tied.
Lemon Law! Yes I do qualify for that. However I really don't want to move on from the Ram Fleet. I would think, and this is a rough figure, after spending well over $280,000+ (probably more if I was to sit down and figure it out) that this dealership/Chrysler would want to make me a satisfied customer. I didn't start this dispute for lack of better words. However, I'm not about to take myself out of the ball game at this point in time.
