At night I cant see any of my gauges. I checked the fuse and it is good. I pulled the dash out and cleaned all the contacts and tried to find a bulb to replace.

After all that I think my head light switch has something to do with it. I can turn on the cab light but the dimmer part does'nt work.

Has anyone got an idea what to do here or a link to checkout.

Are the tail lights working?

The tail lights and dash lights feed off the same wire out of the headlight switch. This is also the same terminal that tends to burn out on our trucks. You might want to drop the switch out and see if the center terminal is burnt. It is the light brown wire in the center of the head light terminal block.

If your tails lights are working. Then the problem is after the headlight switch. Have you checked to see if you have power to the fuse with the headlight switch in the on position?

Hey jimc,

check the ground to your light switch, if you loose ground to the reostats on the switch you will not get any ground to the dash light bulbs, I've seen that happen many times.

I will try to find ground. Pretty clustered under there. By the time i figure out everything that is wrong on this truck, I should be an electrical pro.
