Wear item. Good luck, but I doubt you are going to get anywhere with that.

Not always so..... Companies like SB and Valair are very good about treating their customers right. But that said, I dont know what they could do if the vehicle was sold and this is a second owner.

While I agree with the pilot bearing thoughts, when I had similar problems, it turned out to be rusty splines. If you have ever had your truck under water, as I do much of the time, rust between the transmission shaft splines and the clutch splines can cause an incomplete release of the clutch. In my case, it got so bad that I had to shut the engine off, shift into gear, and then start the motor just to get it into low or reverse. I had to drop the 5600 and use a wire brush to clean everything up. Dropping a 5600 is not for the faint of heart.
Good luck.

There are lots of different things that can cause the problem, just about all of them require the removal and the transmission and inspecting the clutch

One side of the disc (pressure plate side) had plenty of lining. The flywheel side had none. It was just a bunch of powder in the flywheel recess and all through the pressure plate. I will try to attach pictures. These were taken over the weekend after the parts had sat in the back of the truck with plenty of dampness is why you see rust starting. The clutch was the MU13-1.25 Con OFE. The pilot bearing was in good shape and turns free, no roughness at all.

What clutch did you go with? I think the OHD is a good one. I don't like the OFE due to one side being Feramic, I prefer organic both sides.

The feramic side is the side that was completely gone. The reason I had gone with it is I was pushing 973 ft-lbs of torque with the mods I had at that time. This was the value from a dynomometer run. Shortly after installing it I pulled all the mods off except for the Van AAken box. They installed a LUK 05-101 13" clutch and flywheel as the transmission rebuild upgraded to the larger input shaft and later internals for the HO engines.
