Anbody else get these codes when using a smarty. P0500 , P0602??

And Is this normal. The 602 kinda makes since but the P0500??

You're right about the 602. It comes with the Smarty. However, the 500 No Vehicle Speed sense is unrelated to the Smarty. You need to check that one. It affects the speedometer, cruise and antilock brakes.

It is probably a wheel speed sensor in the front. I get it once in awhile, while driving in deep snow it plugs up the notches in the rotor where the sensor reads. Just clear it and see if it comes back. If it does you may have a front wheel sensor bad or a dirty sense ring. Your speedo reads from the sensor in the back diff. If that goes bad, no speedo.

Mee too. I get p0500 sometimes also.

Yeah I cleared mine today and drove it about 10 miles code comes right back. I heard that this could be set by turning to hard in 4 wheel drive. But I Haven't had it in four wheel drive in a long time.

I have a 2wd and I had this code before the smarty. I'm pretty sure it is the sensor on top of the rear axel.

Hey guys! I am getting the 0602 and 0500 also. I just read in another post that the 0500 could also be possibly due to holding rpms up to aid in warm up. I don't know if maybe the Smarty with the high idle feature may be causing this in some?????? Good Luck!

My buddy has a 2001 and is getting the 0602 and 0500 also, talked to bob with smarty and he said it is a ghost code that comes with the smarty. I think the 0500 code is probably something to deal with the abs stuff the smarty can do. But as long as it isn't affecting the motor it doesn't really matter. And as long as your check engine light isn't on your fine.
