Craig,

I live in an apartment at 470 and Ken Caryl, we started exavation on the place in Durango. The Logs will be delivered next tuesday. Once we are finished, this winter, with the house, I will decide what to do for a job down there and then make plans to get out of dodge in my dodge.

Doug

Sandbrew, I watched the Monster Garage "Otto Brew" episode a week or so ago. Cool man! Bet that was fun. Is Jesse as much as a butthead as sometimes he comes across as?

Doug, sounds like you have a good thing going on down in Durango. I will have to stop by when I decide to visit that area of Colorado.

Doug,

I wish I had known about your project. I may have been able to help in the planning. I was the general contractor when I built my own log cabin, full logs, Swedish cope cuts. I did the entire deal drawings, setting the logs by hand (6 of us rookies did it in less than 8 hours) to the finsh work and everthing in between. If you need any pointer let me know.

Sandbrew

BTW Saw InThinAir again today.

Does the move mean a handle change?

Glad you liked the FireTruck Brewery show it was a lot of work but a ton of fun as well. Jesse was actually pretty cool to me on our show. I actually got know him better than most builders. I spent a total of 21 days on Long Beach at Monster Garage. I went our 4 times in all. Once to finish up the brew 10 days after the build, About 1 1/2 months later to make another batch. Two weeks after that to attend the beer fest the showed at the end of our show. I even got a chance to hang with him when he was in Colorado for a few days for some Coors PR stuff. All in all he was a pretty good guy just so busy you can't imagine.

The real story is the group of psychotic misfits they have behind the scenes running the camera and directing the show. When they release the Monster Garage "uncut or R rated" version don't miss it. Some of the stuff I saw and heard was the funniest I have ever seen.

How about the security guard firing his 9mm (twice) at a glass bottle in the back lot in downtown Long beach. Why you ask? All because the pellet rifle they bought because I told them we need to keep the grain for the brewery rodent free won't break the glass. I told them we need to keep the barley mouse free and they said "we don't have mice the rats eat them" We actually went on a rat hunt or roundup and ran 3 or 4 BIG rats out the garage doors. The producer and director had armed themselves with a pellet gun and sling shot. The only rat harmed was clubbed with a piece of angle iron after it tried to run up one of the camera guys pants. It's all on tape!

What's wrong with my "wavey spot"? I'm waiting for a good dentless repair guy to help me pop it out ;-)

Sandbrew

If was actaully "dentless", you wouldn't need me. :-laf --You need a body shop! No offense. I saw you this afternoon. I was pulling into Loaf N Jug for some GAS. You went by on 285.

$20 for the bumper? I'd say that qualifies for a steal.

Doug,

I must drive right by your apartment all the time. We go to church in that area. Stay in touch.

Craig

I would consider Craig the best Dentless repair guy around! :) I didn't see a dent on him!!! Me on the other hand... I am definately a little Dense!!!

I don't know how to change my name in here, I think I will go by "InHotAir" now... It was like 90 in my apartment yesterday. It is going to be a long summer!!!

I saw BarryG's truck outside Dicky's BBQ today. Oddly, Barry was inside Dicky's. I think that's more than just a coincidence.

Wow, that's hot. I think it was 75 or so in Conifer :D .

I saw MLockner driving past the park where we were having a picnic yesterday. I stopped by his house afterward and I think his son was trying to fit one of Mike's turbo's into a Honda :-laf

Did you get the twins yet?

Just as an FYI, it looks like the move to Utah will be over the July 4th weekend so if I don't see my fellow RMTDR buddies before then I want to wish you guys the best

Kirk,

That was me you saw. Yes I do have the twins in. They are quite different to drive with. Still learning about them. That was my son and he does want a turbo, but him and his buddy were putting on parts for a nitrous system. He would like to say he can beat my truck, but that will never happen. I got more $$$$$. We will miss you when you are gone. Best of luck in your future. We are going to Bandimere on Wednesday if you are not doing anything, show up.

Mike L.

I am hanging in there. It is SO HOT in town!!!! I don't know how people stand it. I spend most of my time at the barn in Conifer where it is cool.

I saw Sandbrew last night headed up the hill. Now that I moved out of his neighborhood I see him all the time.

I did my brakes about 3 weeks ago with "Guaranteed not to squeek" pads. They squeek like a mother!!! Worst thing ever.

Hope everthing is going good for you Craig. When did you get the 12 Valve? Sweet.

We got it in March. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was meant to be. :D I can't believe you put non-Mopar pads on your truck. Well, now people can hear ya starting and stopping. Let's keep in touch.

I also saw Sandbrew (tonight). John, where is your topper?

I see Doug all the time... . I never see Craig he never drives his CTD.

Craig, I took the topper off to load a slide-in camper I bought/stole for $75. Problem is the jacks only go 38 inches high and the dodge is 42 inches high.

I also have several loads of slash and a logs haul to cut and split this weekend and that's easier with out a topper.

Sandbrew

I saw a black 2500 with "TowRig.com" on the back window in Grand Lake today (Sat, 7/16). Were you a part of/ see the boat show? Those vintage wood boats were fun to watch.

Scott

For all you 285 guys, if you're out and about mid-day tomorrow (Monday), you may see me pulling the Jeep up the hill. I'm headed to Gunnison for All-4-Fun (actually, to Ouray for a few days warm-up this week first--and I'm sending this from my motel room enroute in Goodland, KS). I'll be headed back down on the 30th or 31st.

I'm holding out hope that the Boeing/Lock-Mart joint venture will provide me an opportunity to move up here for good by next year--working at the Waterton plant, and hopefully living in the Conifer/Evergreen area. If anybody has any tips, I'm all ears.

Mark

Mark,

I didn't see you but I'll be looking at the end of the month. I was checking out your reader's rigs. Must be rough to be you! Sweet Jeep and yard. One question: Where are the palm trees? Don't you live in Florida?! I hope you had fun here.

Does anyone know the best place to get Stanadyne products here in the Denver area?

Thanks.
