6.7L Cummins Air Filter Revision...53034051AB is now 68517554AA

Diesel Module

Did my first trip today with the CFM+. Pulled a 3 horse Featherlite BP 300 miles one way and empty coming back. Ran 62 to 64 loaded and 67 to 68 empty. Calculated 17. 75 round trip.

Normally, I do not pull units this small. Tomorrow I have a 3 horse GN with small living quarters going to Ft. Pierce, Fl. and then I cut all the way across the state and pick up a 4 horse GN with big living quarters and bunkhouse going to one of my dealers in Dothan, Al.

By Tuesday evening, I will have a good idea how this CFM works in the real world. So far, I am pleased.

We know Cummins people are smart. But surely they ought to be able to see they have a huge bottle neck in that OEM intake.

Slick!

BTW, how big is the Frantz filter and how well does it work???

Here's an overall underhood shot - I have 2 Frantz TP element filters - one for oil bypass cleaning, the other for fuel filtering at sub-micron levels - both work great, according to past analysis reports...

I am considering an intake horn upgrade. Right now, I am leaning toward CFM+, but I seem to recall somewhere in the past that I saw a chart comparing the top 4 or 5 side by side. Did I dream it or did anyone else see that chart????

I am interested in CFM+, AFE Bladerunner, ATS for now, but would consider others. Not looking for mega-horsepower, just want to lower the EGTs as much as possible. I am thinking about meth injection down the road, so a ported unit would be nice.

Mainly, I want better airflow. I know each mfg. has their own claims, but I would like to see them compared together.

Also, any experiences y'all have would be appreciated. I know everyone has "the best" on their truck, but I would like to know WHY you think it is better than the others.

Thanks..... Steve
Has any had any issues with there air intake manifolds and the management light goes on and off trying to find out what sort of prices it will cost to fix some quotes mechanics are giving without touching the car is £700 is that about right.

I had the CFM+ on my truck as my friend developed it. It is CARB approved it flowed well. I don't remember any shoot out though.
