Excusemy ignorance as I know there are many threads on the heater core etc. , but I believe my trucks symptoms are a little different. I am having a continuous water leak from my AC drain whether the truck is running or not. It just drips and drips but will eventually stop about a 1/2 hour after the truck is shut off. Heat and AC work great. Getting to be a PITA having to fill the radiator all the time. Heater core or something else?

Dave,

Heater core sounds like the culprit, or at least a bad hose connection inside the heater box? Either way the dash needs to come out to fix it . . . bummer.

FDavid. For more views might want to edit your post to say
"Continuous coolant leak from AC drain"
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->Sounds like the core has rotted.

^You are correct, it is a coolant leak.

Since I don't feel like tackling the project in the cold I will probably wait for spring just deal with it in the meantime.

Thanks,

Dave

You can remove the heater hoses and connect them together with a fitting. You will lose your heater, but it will no longer leak. I did this temporarily until I feel like tackling the project. And it is a project. Good luck.
