Ok, as of yesterday it started. .

whenever i take a corner a bit sharper i hear this grinding noise coming from front right wheel

I don't know if its wheel bearing or what it could be. . never heard a sound like that. its a notchy sound and it only was there when there was a lot of preasure applied to the front passenger side wheel in the sharp 90 degree turn going about 15 or 20 ...

anyone got a clue what it could be? i know i need to replace the rear diff oil and front/center as well.

It might be the brakes. If there is any play in that wheel then when you are turning like that the rotor can move enough to make noise against the brake pads.

Are all the nuts holding that tire on as tight as they should be?

Is it possible that the tire is rubbing on something under the truck when you have it turned and the suspension compressed?

That's all I can think of right now, let us know what you find.

Mike

Well, i have 265's on there so there should be NO way it could contact anything on the suspension. .

and i just changed my pads three weeksago... maybe it could be that. . but i don't see any play in the brakes. . i'll recheck the bolts and everything.

I torqued the lug nuts to 145 so i don't think that would got loose. .

Ok, you say you just changed the pads, did the truck make this noise before you were into the brakes? I'd tear back into them post-haste and see what's going on. There could be expensive pieces getting damaged in there, not to mention the issue of safety if something in the brakes isn't right.

Good luck,

Mike

Yeah, i will be doing it as soon as i get back home tonight. I have changed many brakes before. . at least 40 of them so its not hing new to me and i know i would of done it right, maybe. just maybe i missed something. . i'll take a look at it again.

enes

Could it be the cheezy brake shield thingy? Mine bent in after I did the pads and rubbed on the rotor edge when I turned a corner sometimes. Made a heck of a racket.

Worth taking the time to pry the shield away a little.

Good luck

Steve
