Boost Leak Test - Parts, Procedure and Test Results

I have an 03 305/ 555 with compounds and 100hp tips, and intake.Trucks starts and idles OK but once u hit the accelerator it goes nowhere..It builds boost but no power..if u unplug the sensor on the cp3 it pushes 100% flow but with the sensor plugged in itnwont build over 5000psi.. tried an eBay sensor but same thing, not suprising..any thoughts.

Sounds like it's unloading early from some sort of electric part. If the fpr has been swapped and still fails, it might be the ecu itself. We sell a lot of them out of our scrapyard from not communicating correctly with the injection pump.

It' called a fuel pressure sensor/regulator on everything I've read so far.
Fuel control actuator ?not sure it'
the same thing.
It' the the little two sure harness at the bottom of the cp3...It's bosch.
Tosh has a good theory...,I just hope he's
Not right ...lol...

common rail fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel control actuator and is ecm commands more than engine rpm, what kind of reader are you using?

Have you checked your TPS. Throttle Position Sensor. It on the engine just above the CP3. Sound like you might have "dead pedal" issues. Dodge and Cummins only sold the complete assembly but you can buy the sensor by itself. That happened on my 03. I could start it but no throttle at all. I replaced the sensor and It works great after that.
