I could give a thousand examples of what this mod has been like for my truck, but I will make it brief.
After installing the Fluidampr, It was like the bolts holding the crankshaft had been tightened down to spec, the oil was now 15w40 weight instead of 0w5 weight and the motor mounts had been tightened. Wow, it smoothed right out. From idle all the way up. I could hear and feel the difference. It's simply Smoother.
With the multiple injections of newer diesels and their other enhancements I would imagine the benefits would not be as noticeable, but with older technology the benefits are easily found.
For the 12 valve it did require moving the tach sensor, but other than that really straight forward.
My old crankshaft balancer did have a slight bulge about 1" - 1 1/4" long as I recall. I didn't understand what they meant in the article in TDR, Issue 73 pg 44, when they explained the bulge, but once the old balancer was removed and I studied how it was put together that I could quick understand its design and the significance of it.
I'm sure the other crankshaft balancers on the market would show similar results, I just happened to install the Fluidampr.
I have to think this has added miles and life to my engine.
