as of yesterday it's . 52 cents more expensive 2. 669 cheapest diesel in town vs 3. 189 cheapest super in town, so now my truck is my econo vehicle :-laf 80 to put 30 gallons in the truck last night :( and about 45 to put 14 gallons in the car if i was driving it  the rip off joints are running diesel at 2. 899 and super at 3. 349 #@$%!

I don't think diesel is cheap, it's just that gasoline is more expensive at the moment.

It's interesting to see so many people get so excited about the higher cost of fuel :)
For me the excitement comes from knowing I am, along with everybody else, being unfairly hosed at the pump. The oil companies know that fuel is a demand item, that it cannot be done without and we can not do anything about being overcharged. Same thing with our government. Idiot politicians can do as they please and there will always be enough uninformed voters to believe their lies and vote them in. Makes you wonder if the oil companies learned from the politicians or the politicians learned from the oil companies. Either way it is always whoever is at the bottom of the totem pole that pays the bills. On the bright side in spite of all the corruption we are still the greatest country on the Planet.

Is anyone considering that GWB is an oil man?? Why would he want the price to go down after getting us into a war to raise it?!? A conveniently overlooked terrorist attack prompts an outraged nation to bomb a major oil producing area of the world ,so the govt (GWB) stockpiles oil reserves to prep for the war effort driving prices through the roof! How nice for him it wasnt HIS fault just amazing timing i guess. when will all that oil reserve be "unreserved"?? Why do u think were STILL in Iraq? Im sure that fuel will only go up but the rate will flatten as GWB and the like invest in alternatives, and we (forced by the in abillity to do otherwise:{) will buy those new vehicles, made of high tech plastics and chemicals that the "big wigs" are now investing in,knowing the sheep will follow. I for one will go back to riding horses ,I'm already doing it ,but the dang police up here (NE)cant decide where I should be:-{} . A horse isnt exactly a motor vehicle or a pedestrian and seems to be quite distractive to other folks(drivers). Probably be movin to Tennesee soon, maybe they'll understand ! :)

In my opinion GWB is a decent honest man. He has done a good job, his best with the best advice. Politicians accuse other politicians of lying when it is to their political advantage to do so. Character assassination. All of the Bush bashing was designed to win the recent and future elections. To brain wash the voters. Politics has stooped to new lows. What was dirty politics is now filthy politics. The politicians that engage in it can walk under a snake without bending over or removing their hat. Look at who would not allow new refineries to be built and look at who won't allow drilling in AWNR. That is who drove up the prices. Anti-business socialists. Socialists pretending to be environmentelst in their attempt to take over and ruin this country for the average citizen and make it into their country which they will control with their communistic agenda.

You forget that these oil companies made a relative pittance back when gas was $1. 00/gal in the early 90s. Not only that, but refinery capacity is over maxed out, and no process can run constantly at even 95% let alone 100%. When it does, it's like a house of cards falling when it breaks. There's your fuel price problem. Put it this way: When I have 10 refineries running at 85% capacity, and one goes down, I can boost my capacity to 94% at my 9 remaining refineries until the 10th one comes back on line. If I run all 10 at 95%, then I have to run 105% to stay even. You can't run 105%, let alone 100% for very long or something's going to break.
