ok this may be a dumb question but i want to know. what difference is there in a non intercooled pump and an intercooled one?

will it affect anything if i put an intercooler on with a non intercooled pump (103)?

also what is a 184 pump, good, bad

You can use your pump and add an intercooler. No problemo.

I don't know the technical differences other than there's different stuff in there :-laf :-laf

:-laf :-laf i thought so. thanks.

Delivery valve holders on the nonIC engines are longer than their intercooled counterparts. Lines are bigger diameter, so change them as a set. You CAN take the DV holders and swap them between the 2 styles of pumps. Just make sure you get new washers from your Bosch dealer.

The only thing that will happen with an intercooler on the nonIC pump will be lower EGTs, possibly higher boost and better overall performance.

so what is the difference between the short and long dv holders?my 103 pump has long and my 184 has short. also which has larger diameter lines? i/c or non i/c.

thanks

was stock when i got the engine, now it has the top 1/2 of my 184 pump because it had a throttle return spring built in, i gutted the afc and plugged the boost line, 3200 spring, resealed the pump, and put in new cam plate, rollers, piston return springs, and dv springs. and cranked it up alot. i want it to last a while

also switched the ksb housing and valve the 103 valve was frozen.
