DiPricol pyrometer

If I understand this correct the instructions say that they don't require any power input for the gauge to work. My autometer had to be fed 12 volts to work. Is this right? There are two wires coming out of the 4 wire harness that are for LED lighting. Do I still hook them up? I also have two other wires for the gauge light. Are there two sets of light s on the newer whiteface dipricol gauges? I just don't want to hook power to the two xtra wires if I am not supposed to. I don't want to fry the gauge. thanks in advance.

My pyro is suppose to be the new 03 ram white face gauge. It has only two wires for the lighting (positive and ground) and the thermocouple plug. It does not need 12v power to work.

well, mine definitely has a 4 wire plug on the back. But, it also has two wires coming from the light connector. The two xtra wires on the thermocouple plug say that they are for LED lighting. Is there two types of lighting on these?

I have the black face DiPricol gauges, and my pyro also came with a 4-wire connector. I did not hook up the LED lighting wires - just used the regular gauge lighting. Everything works OK...

Well, it's mounted and lights are hooked up. I haven't had a chance to drill the exhaust manifold or tap it yet. I can't wait to see them lit up in the dark. They match the white face gauges perfect.

Gauges in,not hooked up . I had to wait till Proram and I could get to it as he was busy with the head work. BTW,I hope you are faster than the two of us were when drilling the manifold. We kinda looked like 2 of the 3 Stooges in a Chinese fire drill... LOL ... ..... Andy



Bring the probe to Ernie's this weekend,Scott and I are experienced at it now and won't take as long this time(you would be amazed at how fast we can remove the passenger side battery and tray,don't ask brain fart x2). . LOL.

It's in now. I just didn't have the tap at work to install it. I popped them in and wired them up at work. I finished them up at home this evening. I like! Oo.
