The Dodge "business link" offers the Jacobs exhaust brake to new truck buyers for $825. Is this a good price? Thanks for your help.

The cheapest I have found them is $1250 at the dealer I bought the truck from so I'd say it's a very good deal. Is this price only good when you buy the truck or is it a Buisness Link member deal for anytime after purchase?

This is the text from the Dodge Website, now how do I qualify for a commercial account? (read disclaimer at bottom) Do we need a group on wannabee new Ram purchasers to ban together and do a group purchase, I like the $300 dollars off, and discount on e-brake, and free over the rail diamond plate aluminum tool box.

I tried it and needed a CDL or actual proof that I had a business. That was not dealer bs because I was right there when I called. Last year it was $300 installed and that was a real steal because that price did not take in the increased cost of the Jacobs Brake due to the vacuum pump factor. D/C (to their credit) stood by the price. Whatever the price, I will tell you, after having had the Jacob's Brake on both my 98. 5 and my 03 that it is worth it. It works very well and it is blessed by D/C and Cummins.

I may need correction on this but I bought truck 60 days ago and was given $300 off invoice for owning my own business etc. Inquired about running boards, tool box, jake brake and was referred to a accessories store and quoted $1800 on brake. Kept pushing the brake issue and parts and service manager would not even discuss anything less then $1800. 00 Told them I thought there were special incentives on this. Got deer in the headlights look. Should I print the Dodge incentives page and go visit them?

I took the printed web page to the sales/business manager at the dealer were I bought my truck. He said HUMMM. Then said well you got the $300 off and its a either or situation. I said if thats the case I'll give back the $300 and you get my Jake brake put on for this price. No response from him(deer in headlight look)I said I think its the $300 and also these other items of my choice. No response! He did'nt have a CLUE about this program. I want my TOOL box also. Will now fax him the phone number listed on this thread and tell him to start sorting it out!
